Aditya Birla Scholarships 2024/25

Scholarship Package

The prestigious Aditya Birla Scholarship covers a significant portion of academic and hostel fees for engineering students and partially covers tuition fees for management and law students. The scholarship amounts are:

• IIMs/XLRI: INR 3,00,000 per annum
• IITs/BITS Pilani: INR 1,50,000 per annum
• Law: INR 1,80,000 per annum or actual fees, whichever is lower

Eligibility

Students from the following premier institutes are eligible to apply:

Management

• IIMs: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kozhikode, Shillong
• XLRI: Jamshedpur

Engineering (B.Tech)

• IITs: Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Guwahati
• BITS (Pilani) Campuses

Law

• National Law School of India University, Bangalore
• NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad
• WB National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata
• Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar
• National Law University, Jodhpur
• National Law University, Delhi

The top 20 students from each institute (based on entrance exam rankings) are invited to apply through their Dean.

Application Process

Eligible students must fill out the application form and submit it to their respective Dean, who will then forward all applications to the Aditya Birla Group for evaluation.

A total of 440 students will be initially evaluated:

• 180 from management
• 160 from engineering
• 100 from law

Selection is based on academic excellence and co-curricular achievements. Essays submitted by these students will be reviewed by a panel, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for a final interview.

Final Selection

• 16 scholars each from engineering and management
• 15 scholars from law

The interviews, conducted by an esteemed panel of academicians and industry experts, will take place in Mumbai. Travel, accommodation, and a token allowance will be provided to shortlisted candidates.

Scholarship Renewal Criteria

The scholarship is renewed annually based on academic and leadership performance. Scholars must:

• Rank within the top 25% of their batch
• Score at least 7 out of 9 on 60% of assignments

Participate in at least two campus forums

• Submit a 250-word reflection on their experience as an Aditya Birla Scholar
• Performance data must be verified by the Academic Dean of the respective institute.

Important Notes

• Scholarship funds will be directly transferred to the institute’s designated bank account.

• If students have already paid their fees before the scholarship is awarded, the institute will refund the amount.

• Scholars' performance will be monitored annually for continued eligibility.
