How to Apply for the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top-Class Education for SC Students 2025

• Check Eligibility – Ensure you belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, meet the annual family income limit (₹8.00 lakh), and have secured admission in a notified top-class institution.

• Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) – Go to the official National Scholarship Portal (NSP) (https://scholarships.gov.in/), where the application process is conducted.

• Register/Login –

  • New Users: Click on "New Registration" and create an account.
  • Existing Users: Log in with your NSP credentials.

• Fill Out the Application Form – Provide accurate details, including personal information, academic qualifications, institution details, and bank account information.

• Upload Required Documents – Attach scanned copies of the following:

  • Caste Certificate (SC Category)
  • Income Certificate (Issued by Competent Authority)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Admission Proof (Offer Letter/Enrollment Certificate)
  • Bank Account Details (In Student’s Name, with IFSC Code)
  • Previous Academic Marksheets
  • Affidavit (if applicable, confirming not being the third sibling availing of the scholarship)

• **Review and Submit **– Double-check all information before submitting the application. Once submitted, no changes can be made.

• Track Application Status – After submission, log in to NSP to monitor the status of your application.

• Selection and Disbursement –

  • Applications are verified at the institution and state level before final approval by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
  • Upon approval, the scholarship amount is directly credited to the student’s bank account.

• Renewal Process – Ensure you pass all required subjects and maintain academic performance to continue receiving benefits in subsequent years.

• Deadline to Apply: March 10, 2025 – Submit your application before the last date to avoid disqualification.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
• Annual family income should not exceed ₹8.00 lakh from all sources.
• The student must have secured admission in a full-time prescribed course in any of the notified top-class institutions.
• 30% of the scholarship slots are reserved for eligible SC girl students based on merit. If sufficient girl candidates are unavailable, the slots will be transferred to boys based on merit.
• The benefit of this scheme is limited to a maximum of two siblings per family. An affidavit must be submitted certifying that the student is not the third sibling availing of this scholarship.
• The scholarship will be terminated if the student fails to get promoted to the next semester/class.

• Full tuition fees and other non-refundable charges.
