Free Coaching for Students with Disabilities
About the Program

The Free Coaching for Students with Disabilities scheme is a centrally sponsored initiative by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD). It provides financial support to empaneled voluntary organizations for offering free coaching to students with disabilities preparing for competitive examinations such as UPSC, SSC, RRBs, State PSCs, and other admission/job-related tests.

Eligibility
  • Students with at least 40% disability, from families with an annual income not exceeding ₹6,00,000, preparing for specified competitive exams.
  • Students can avail the scheme only once and should not be receiving benefits under any similar central government scheme.
Benefits

  • Free coaching through empaneled voluntary organizations.

  • Stipend of ₹2,500/month for local students and ₹5,000/month for outstation students.

  • Study material and incidental expenses covered.

  • Equal opportunity support for students with disabilities in competitive exams and higher education/job opportunities.
