About the Program

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Berhampur invites applications for the Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship (PDRF) 2025-26. This fellowship is available for research in the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth & Environmental Sciences, and Computer Science.

The selected candidates will receive a fellowship of up to ₹67,000 per month, along with other benefits.

Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to both Indian and foreign nationals.
  • Applicants must be below 35 years of age at the time of application.
  • Must hold a Ph.D. degree in the relevant field of study.
  • Should have a strong academic record.
  • Must have at least five years of experience after obtaining the Ph.D. degree.

Additional Information

  • Candidates with a Ph.D. will be appointed as Postdoctoral Research Fellows (PDRFs) for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of renewal annually for up to three years, based on performance.
  • Candidates without a Ph.D. (who have submitted their thesis but are awaiting the degree) will be appointed as Research Associates (RAs).
