About the Program
The West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (WBMDFC), under the Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department, Government of West Bengal, offers the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2024-25. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students from specified minority communities and economically weaker sections in West Bengal. Selected students will receive admission fees up to ₹22,000 and a maintenance allowance of up to ₹11,000.

- Must be a domicile of West Bengal.
- Must have secured admission to a technical or professional course in a recognized institution within the state.
- Must have obtained at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary (10+2) or Graduation examination.
- The annual family income should be less than ₹2,50,000 from all sources.
Note:
- Students residing in West Bengal but studying outside the state are not eligible, except for those enrolled in specific listed institutions notified by WBMDFC.
- A list of eligible institutions outside West Bengal is periodically updated by WBMDFC.
