National Fellowship & Scholarship For Higher Education Of Scheduled Tribe (ST) Students
About the Program

Part-A: Fellowship Scheme – Provides financial assistance to meritorious ST students for pursuing M.Phil/Ph.D in eligible universities. Part-B: Scholarship Scheme – Encourages meritorious ST students to pursue Graduate and Postgraduate courses in premier institutes in professional and academic fields.


Eligibility
  • Fellowship: PG degree with minimum 55% marks, age ≤ 36 years, admitted in eligible universities; no income criteria.
  • Scholarship: Admission in notified institutions, family income ≤ ₹6 lakh, not availing any other scholarship for the same study.
Benefits
  • Fellowship: Monthly stipend ₹31,000 (first 2 years), ₹35,000 (next 3 years for Ph.D), contingency ₹10,000–₹25,000/year, HRA as per UGC rates, escort allowance ₹2000/month for Divyangjan.
  • Scholarship: Full tuition fee (up to ₹2.5 lakh in private institutes), ₹3000/month stipend, ₹5000/year books, ₹45,000 computer (one-time).
