ONGC Sports Scholarship Scheme 2025

The ONGC Sports Scholarship Scheme 2025 aims to nurture emerging sports talent across India by providing financial assistance to young sportspersons from economically weaker sections. A total of 250 scholarships will be offered this year, with 50% reserved for female athletes. The scholarship duration is one year and may be extended to two years based on performance.

• Must be an Indian citizen.

• Age between 15 and 20 years as of April 1, 2025.

• Annual family income not exceeding ₹5,00,000.

• Should not be employed or earning from professional sports leagues.

• Should not be availing any other government or private sports scholarships.

• Senior players who have received international-level cash awards are ineligible.

• Scholarship amount:

• Sub-Junior: ₹15,000 (National) / ₹20,000 (International)

• Junior: ₹20,000 (National) / ₹25,000 (International)

• Senior: ₹25,000 (National) / ₹30,000 (International)

• Free sports kits and coverage of domestic tournament expenses.

• Health insurance up to ₹5,00,000 or reimbursement of insurance premium up to ₹7,000 per annum.

• Direct transfer of scholarship amount to the recipient’s bank account.

• Opportunity to represent ONGC in domestic tournaments.
