Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Delhi 2024-25

About the Program

The Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Delhi 2024-25 is a financial assistance program launched by the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minority, Government of NCT of Delhi. This initiative is aimed at Scheduled Caste (SC) students studying in Classes 9 and 10, helping to reduce dropout rates during the transition from elementary to secondary education.

Under this scheme, selected students will receive a consolidated academic allowance of up to ₹7,000 per year, along with an additional allowance for students with disabilities.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

• Be an Indian citizen and a resident of Delhi.
• Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
• Be enrolled as a full-time student in Class 9 or 10 in a recognized institution.
• Have a family income of less than ₹2,50,000 per annum.

Scholarship Benefits

Selected students will receive financial support based on their status as day scholars or hostellers:

Hosteller	₹7,000

• Additionally, Divyang (disabled) students will receive a 10% extra allowance.

Note:

• Disability is defined as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The government will appoint certified authorities to issue disability certificates.
• Scholarship awards are subject to satisfactory academic performance and a minimum of 75% attendance each year.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents:

• One passport-size photograph with the student’s signature.
• Self-attested copies of certificates and mark sheets for all previously passed exams.
• Caste certificate issued by an authorized Revenue Officer (not below the rank of Tehsildar).
• Income certificate of the student’s parents.
• Academic transcripts, including marksheets and certificates.
