About the Program

The ST&SC and MBC Welfare Department, Government of Odisha offers the Post-Matric Scholarship to students from Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Minorities & Backward Classes (MBC) who aspire to pursue higher education in specified fields. This scholarship provides financial aid to help students complete their academic programs.

Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must:

  • Be a domicile of Odisha.

  • Belong to the ST, SC, or MBC category. (MBC includes Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC)).

  • Be enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, or doctoral programs in one of the following disciplines:

  • Academic Disciplines Covered:

    • Science & Technology: Accountancy, Agriculture & Allied Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Architecture, Applied Art & Craft, Ayurvedic, B.Sc./B.Tech. (Engineering, IT), Dental, Fishery, Forestry, Homeopathy, Medical, Multimedia & Animation, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Paramedical, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Public Health, Social Work, Special Education, Teacher Training, Textile Design, Vocational Education.
    • Management & Business: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Management, Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Master of Computer Application (MCA), Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA).
    • Hospitality & Tourism: Bachelor of Tourism & Hospitality Management, Diploma in Hotel Management, Craftsmanship Certificate in Hotel Management, Hotel Management (Postgraduate), Tourism/Travel Management.
    • Law & Humanities: Law, Library Science, Journalism, Performing Arts, Interior Design, Fashion Design & Technology.
    • Integrated & Open University Programs: Integrated Programs (e.g., Integrated B.Sc., Integrated M.A.), Open University Diploma & Certificate Courses.
    • Technical & Vocational Education: ITI/ITC Courses, Polytechnic Diploma, Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.), Diploma in Vocation (D.Voc.)
  • Have a family income of ₹2,50,000 or less per annum.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  • Aadhaar card
  • Income certificate of parent(s)/guardian(s)
  • Caste certificate
  • Bank account details (copy of passbook with account number & IFSC code)
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Disability certificate (if applicable)
  • Institute declaration certificate
  • Academic documents (Class 10 & 12 marksheets & certificates)

  • Register/Login:

  • Fill the Application Form:

    • Provide personal, academic, and bank details.
