About the Program

The Post-Matric Scholarship, West Bengal 2024-25 is an initiative by the West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation, operating under the Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department, Government of West Bengal. This scholarship aims to support minority students from West Bengal who are pursuing education from Class 11 to Ph.D. level. The objective is to encourage higher education among minority students, reduce dropout rates, and provide financial relief. Eligible students may receive a scholarship of up to ₹16,500.

Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scholarship, an applicant must:

  • Be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • Belong to a minority community of West Bengal.
  • Be enrolled in Class 11 to Ph.D. level at an institution recognized by a State/Central Government board or university.
  • Have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent in the previous academic examination.
  • Have an annual family income of less than ₹2,00,000.

Note: Students pursuing studies outside West Bengal are not eligible for this scholarship.

  1. For Technical & Vocational Course Students (Class 11 & 12)

    • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹11,000
    • Maintenance Allowance: ₹2,500

    • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹11,000
    • Maintenance Allowance: ₹4,200

Required Documents Applicants must submit the following documents during the application process:

  1. Marksheet of the last academic examination.
  2. Family income certificate.
  3. First page of the bank passbook.
  4. Institute verification form, duly signed and authenticated by the Head of the Institution (HOI) in the prescribed format.
