Post-Matric Scholarship, West Bengal 2024-25

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scholarship, an applicant must:

• Be a domicile of West Bengal.
• Belong to a minority community of West Bengal.
• Be enrolled in Class 11 to Ph.D. level at an institution recognized by a State/Central Government board or university.
• Have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent in the previous academic examination.
• Have an annual family income of less than ₹2,00,000.

Note: Students pursuing studies outside West Bengal are not eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits

The selected students will receive financial assistance as per the following categories:

1. For General Course Students (Class 11 & 12)

• Day Scholars
  • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹7,700
  • Maintenance Allowance: ₹2,500
• Hostellers
  • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹7,700
  • Maintenance Allowance: ₹4,200

2. For Technical & Vocational Course Students (Class 11 & 12)

• Day Scholars
  • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹11,000
  • Maintenance Allowance: ₹2,500
• Hostellers
  • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹11,000
  • Maintenance Allowance: ₹4,200

3. For Undergraduate & Postgraduate Students

• Day Scholars
  • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹3,300
  • Maintenance Allowance: ₹3,300
• Hostellers
  • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹3,300
  • Maintenance Allowance: ₹6,300

4. For M.Phil. & Ph.D. Students

• Day Scholars
  • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹3,300
  • Maintenance Allowance: ₹6,000
• Hostellers
  • Admission & Tuition Fee: ₹3,300
  • Maintenance Allowance: ₹13,200

Required Documents Applicants must submit the following documents during the application process:

1. Marksheet of the last academic examination.
2. Family income certificate.
3. First page of the bank passbook.
4. Institute verification form, duly signed and authenticated by the Head of the Institution (HOI) in the prescribed format.

5. Upload the required documents in the specified format.
6. Review and submit the application form.
7. Take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
