A scholarship scheme by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DoEPwD) for students with disabilities pursuing post-matric qualifications in India, including Class 11, Class 12, Polytechnic, Post-Matriculation Diploma/Certificates, Graduation, and Post-Graduation.
Student must have 40% or more disability (as per Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016).
Studying in a recognized institution (UGC/AICTE recognized).
Annual parental income ≤ ₹2.5 Lakh.
Not more than 2 students per family can avail (exception: twins).
Applicant must not be availing any other scholarship.
Maintenance Allowance:
Group 1: ₹1600 (Hostellers), ₹750 (Day Scholars)
Group 2: ₹1100 (Hostellers), ₹700 (Day Scholars)
Group 3: ₹950 (Hostellers), ₹650 (Day Scholars)
Group 4: ₹900 (Hostellers), ₹550 (Day Scholars)
Disability Allowance:
Visually Impaired – ₹4000/year
Hearing Impaired – ₹2000/year
Physically Disabled (OH) – ₹2000/year
Intellectual Disabilities – ₹4000/year
Others – ₹2000/year
Book Allowance: ₹1500 per annum
