The “Mukhiya Mantri Protsahan Yojna” was launched by the Department of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh in 2013-14. Under this scheme, a one-time incentive is awarded to meritorious students from Himachal Pradesh who secure admission in prestigious national institutions such as IITs, AIIMS, IIMs, ISM Dhanbad, and IISc Bangalore. This initiative aims to encourage and support talented students to pursue higher education in premier institutes across India.
The applicant must be a native of Himachal Pradesh.
The student must have secured admission in a degree course at any Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), or in a Post Graduate Diploma course at any Indian Institute of Management (IIM).
Students admitted to Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore are also eligible.

Visit https://scholarships.gov.in/
Click on “New Registration” and register using accurate details as per your documents.
Upon successful registration, you will receive a Student Registration ID.
Use this ID to log in through “Fresh Application” on the NSP Portal.
Fill in the complete application form and click “Final Submit”.
After submission, a system-generated registration number will be sent to the student for future reference.

Passport size photograph
Aadhaar Card copy
Himachali Bonafide Certificate (Domicile)
Marks certificates from matric onwards
Latest bank statement of student’s account
Selection letter of IIT/IIM/AIIMS/ISM/IISc
Any other supporting document as required
