Eligibility & Deadline

To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be between 18 to 26 years of age.
- Be an achiever in academics and extracurricular activities, such as:
- Sports, NCC, NSS, voluntary work, performing arts, debate, literature, etc.
- Be sensitive to the pressing problems of the nation.
- Hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in one of the following fields:
- Engineering
- Applied and Pure Science
- Commerce
- Management
- Humanities and Liberal Arts
- Social Work
- Psychology and Behavioral Science
- Mathematics
- Journalism and Mass Communication
- Education
- Law
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:
- A monthly stipend of ₹24,500 (inclusive of all expenses, location-based).
- ₹7,000 per month will be retained as an interest-free reserve amount, which will be paid at the end of the fellowship upon successful completion.
- The cumulative reserve amount can be used for:
- Starting a social enterprise (individually or collaboratively).
- International learning exposure.
- Pursuing specialized higher studies aligned with their aspirations.
How to Apply for the Gandhi Fellowship 2025-27
Follow these steps to apply for the fellowship:
Step 1: Visit the Official Website
- Go to the Gandhi Fellowship official website: https://www.gandhifellowship.org
Step 2: Register/Login
- Click on "Apply Now" to create an account if you are a new applicant.
- If you have already registered, log in using your credentials.
Step 3: Fill in the Application Form
- Provide personal details such as name, date of birth, contact information, and citizenship details.
- Enter academic qualifications and extracurricular achievements.
- Describe your leadership experiences and social engagement (volunteering, NSS, NCC, debate, performing arts, etc.).
- Answer essay-based questions (if required) about your aspirations and interest in social change.
Step 4: Upload Required Documents
- Academic certificates and mark sheets (Graduation/Postgraduation).
- Identity proof (Aadhaar card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.).
- Letter of Recommendation (if required).
Step 5: Review and Submit
- Double-check all the information and uploaded documents.
- Click on "Submit" to finalize your application.
Step 6: Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next rounds of assessment, which may include:
- Telephonic or video interview.
- Situational analysis and problem-solving exercises.
- Final in-person or virtual interview with the selection panel.
Step 7: Confirmation & Onboarding
- Selected candidates will receive an offer letter with further instructions.
- The fellowship program will begin as per the schedule set by the Piramal Foundation.
