About the Program

bout the Program

The SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for Overseas Education 2024-25 is one of India's largest scholarship programs, initiated by the SBI Foundation under its Integrated Learning Mission (ILM). This program aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families across India, ensuring the continuity of their education.

The scholarship is exclusively for SC/ST students pursuing a master’s or above course (any year) at a premier university/college outside India. Selected students can receive up to INR 20 lakh per year to support their educational pursuits.

Eligibility

Eligibility & Deadline

Application Deadline: 31st March 2025

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be an Indian national.
  • Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
  • Be pursuing a master’s or above course (any year) at a premier university/college outside India.
  • Have secured 75% marks or above in the previous academic year.
  • Have a gross annual family income of up to INR 6,00,000.

Additional Notes:

  • Premier universities/colleges outside India include institutions ranked at the top in reputed world rankings such as:
    • QS World University Rankings
    • Times Higher Education World University Rankings
  • Preference will be given to students with a family income of up to INR 3,00,000 per annum.
  • 100% of the slots for overseas education are reserved for SC/ST scholars
