The Wigram Allen Scholarship for the Juris Doctor Award is a postgraduate coursework scholarship established through gifts from Sir George Wigram Allen in 1867 and 1883. The scholarship aims to encourage the study of law by providing financial support to high-achieving students commencing the Juris Doctor program at the University of Sydney Law School.
Applicants must have an unconditional offer of full-time admission into the Juris Doctor (JD) Program within the University of Sydney Law School.
Must be a high academic achiever.
Students who have already commenced their JD studies or are transferring from other programs are not eligible to apply.
The scholarship is valued at Rs.8,00,000 per annum.
Payment is made in two equal instalments at the census date for each semester.
