About the Program

The AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme aims to empower young women by providing financial assistance for pursuing technical education. It supports female students admitted into diploma or undergraduate degree programs at AICTE-approved institutions across India.

Amount: ₹5,000 – ₹50,000

Deadline: 2025-10-31

Award:

Eligibility: 10,000 total scholarships (5,000 each for diploma & degree) awarded @ ₹50,000 per year till course completion

Benefits:
  • Selected students receive ₹50,000 per year for every year of their study.
  • A total of 10,000 scholarships are awarded each year—split evenly between diploma and degree programs.
  • No additional hostel or medical fees are covered. All eligible girls from 13 UTs and North Eastern States will be granted the scholarship upon application.
Eligibility Description:

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  • Female and Indian national

  • Enrolled in the 1st year of a diploma or degree OR 2nd year via lateral entry at an AICTE-approved institution

  • From a family with annual income below ₹8,00,000

  • A maximum of 2 female children per family can avail of this scholarship

Documents Needed :

  • Copy of Marksheets from Class 10 and 12 (as applicable)
  • Aadhaar Card Income Certificate issued by the State/UT Government for the preceding financial year
  • Admission Letter for a degree/diploma program issued by the Directorate of Technical Education
  • Receipt of tuition fee payment
  • Copy of a bank account passbook seeded with an Aadhaar Card showing the applicant's photograph, account number, and IFSC code
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • A duly signed declaration by parents confirming the accuracy of the information provided in the application form

  • Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP): https://scholarships.gov.in

  • Register as a new user (if not already registered).

  • After successful registration, log in using your credentials.

  • Search for “AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls” in the list of available scholarships.

  • Fill in the application form, upload all required documents (income certificate, admission proof, bank details, etc.).

  • Submit the application before the deadline.
