The Delhi Ladli Scheme was introduced in 2008 by the Department of Women & Children Development, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The scheme is designed to empower female children in Delhi by encouraging education and financial security. Under this initiative, eligible beneficiaries receive a long-term fixed deposit of up to ₹11,000, helping them secure a brighter future.
The scheme applies to female children born on or after January 1, 2008 who meet the following requirements:

Important Notes:
The fixed deposit will be made in the name of the girl child and will only be accessible when she turns 18 and has completed at least Class 10. The parent(s)/guardian(s) must claim subsequent periodical deposits by submitting the child’s report card and attendance/admission certificate from a recognized school in Delhi
