IIM Amritsar Post-Doctoral Fellowship Programme 2025-26

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Age Limit: Below 40 years (relaxation of 5 years for women and reserved category candidates).
• Educational Qualification: A Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) from a recognized and reputed institution.
• Academic Excellence: Demonstrated research potential, strong academic credentials, and a passion for conducting original research.
• The Ph.D. degree must be obtained from a prestigious institution, such as Central Universities, IIMs, IITs, IISERs, IISc Bangalore, NITIE Mumbai, or any other globally recognized Indian or foreign institution of comparable standing, as determined by IIM Amritsar.

Benefits

Selected candidates will receive the following:

• A fellowship stipend of ₹55,000 per month.
• A contingency grant of ₹30,000 per year for research-related expenses.
• A conference grant of up to ₹1,75,000 to attend one international conference (accessible only after completing the first year and publishing at least one joint research paper with IIM Amritsar).
• Medical insurance coverage as per the institute’s student welfare policy.
• Opportunity to gain teaching experience at the institute, with an additional honorarium provided for such activities.
