About the Program

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Scholarship is an initiative by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for students from Maharashtra. As per Government Resolution (GR) No. SCH1082/151160/(2173)/GEN5, dated May 7, 1983, the University selects one student from Maharashtra for this scholarship

Amount: ₹0 – ₹1

Deadline: 2025-03-31

Award: Amount Rs. 8000/- per month plus Rs.10,000/-extra for yearly.

Eligibility: Maharashtrian students studying at JNU

Eligibility Criteria

  • Maharashtrian students studying at JNU are eligible.
  • Only one student is selected by JNU as per the quota.
  • Only students pursuing a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are eligible.
  • The applicant must be a domicile of Maharashtra.

This scholarship aims to support and encourage research scholars from Maharashtra pursuing their academic journey at JNU.
