About the Program

The Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Delhi 2024-25 is a centrally-sponsored initiative offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and managed by the Department of Welfare of SC/ST/OBC, Government of NCT of Delhi.

This scholarship provides financial assistance to Scheduled Caste (SC) students studying in Class 11 and above (college/university) to help them continue their education after high school. Selected students will receive a maintenance allowance of up to ₹13,500 per annum, along with other benefits.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship covers the following:

  • Full reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees, including tuition fees, as per the state government’s fee rationalization committee.
  • Academic allowance based on the student’s course category:

Additional Notes:

  • Disabled students will receive 10% extra allowances.
  • Students pursuing CA/ICWA/CS/ICFA will be treated as day scholars for academic allowances.
  • Students enrolled in correspondence or online courses will not be eligible for academic allowances.

Freeship Card *

  • Eligible students will be issued a Freeship Card, which allows them to enroll in institutions without pre-paying tuition or hostel fees.
  • Institutions will receive the fees directly from the scholarship funds, eliminating upfront costs for students.

  • Be pursuing a post-matriculation or post-secondary course in a recognized institution, college, or university.
  • Have a family income not exceeding ₹2,50,000 per year from all sources.

Note:

  • The age limit for admission as a regular student will be determined by the respective institutions.
  • Students repeating the same level of education in a different subject (e.g., pursuing I.Sc. after I.A. or B.Com. after B.A.) are not eligible.
  • Students enrolled in correspondence courses are eligible to apply, but only if the courses are offered by Central/State universities.
  • If a student is awarded multiple scholarships, they must choose only one and inform the authorities through the Head of their institution.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following:

  1. A passport-sized photograph with the student’s signature.
  2. One attested copy of academic transcripts, including certificates, diplomas, and degrees.
  3. Caste certificate (SC) signed by an authorized Revenue Officer (RO), not below the rank of Tehsildar.
  4. Income certificate for the parent(s)/guardian(s), issued by the relevant state government authority.
  5. Scholarship receipt from the previous year (if applicable).

  3. Fill in the application form with accurate details.
  4. Upload scanned copies of all required documents.
